A CHILD-LED PEDAGOGY
Rocksteady is the world's leading rock and pop music service for primary schools. We use unique child-led methodologies developed from over a decade of successfully teaching hundreds of thousands of children. In-school lessons are proven to boost confidence, social skills, teamwork and overall wellbeing as well as improve musical skills, all of which can make a significant impact on a child's success. Children join their very own rock and pop band, rehearse weekly under the guidance of their Rocksteady Band Leader, and put on whole school concerts at the end of each term. The pedagogy uses children's own motivation and learning styles to create an innately inclusive and safe learning environment suitable for any child in mainstream education, whatever their starting point.

In most cases lessons are provided at no cost to the school, however school funded options are also available as well as bursary places funded by Rocksteady.

Regular lessons have wide ranging benefits for the whole school and getting started is quick and easy. Rocksteady work exclusively with primary schools and so everything is designed around you and hassle free. Rocksteady are the only organisation in the world that offers Trinity College London's 'exam-free' qualification 'Music Performance in Bands'. This Ofqual regulated qualification has been designed especially for primary school children doing Rocksteady. In most cases lessons are provided at no cost to the school.
